In
World War I I(: Two), Germany was
defeated (: beaten) by the Allied Powers, which included the Soviet Union. The Allies occupied (: took up) parts (:

Western countries disagreed with (: didn’t approve of) the Soviet Union about
many ideas (: notions/concepts). This
